New Wallabies Asics Jersey 2014- Qantas Australia Rugby Union Home Kit 2014-15

This the new Wallabies home kit 14/15, the new jersey for the Australian national rugby union team. The kit has been made by Asics and is the first to be produced by the firm for the 15 man code in the country after inking a deal with the ARU late last year.

The top is again sponsored by Qantas and modelled by the likes of Matt Toomua and Israel Folau, as can be seen in the pics below. It will be first worn when the Wallabies take on France in a three test series in June 2014. Asics also unveiled for the Springboks on April 24.

In comparison to the last jersey worn by the Wallabies, there is more white detailing, especially in the collar area, while the sleeves have been infused with green. One can also see the five stars of the Southern Cross constellation on the shirt.

  1. It is not much different from the last one. Prefer the Springbok design. It is more classic. Why can we not have a richer gold instead of yellow.

    • Yeah, the Springbok one is way better. There’s none of the messy lines and unnecessary colour patches that make the Wallabies one such a dog’s breakfast.

I don’t understand why they put these green panels on the sleeves, or why the collar is white, why the southern cross has to be so crass in its plastering and why the yellow is such a dreadfully ugly shade.

  2. This is a poor effort… Way too much going on here and it just looks ugly with that pale yellow.

The last jersey by BLK was light years ahead of this mess… it was what a national jersey should be: simple classic designs, with modern touches. It was a very classy modern take on the gold 80s jerseys.

  3. The color looks awful in picture, its not even the Gold that Australia wears but photos and actual product can vary.

If there was one change, cut out the white stripes on the side, keep it to Green and gold (except collar)

    • Yes….asics always prefere light yellow instead of gold. First they did it with Aussie cricket team now they are doing it with rugby team. Its very unfortunate that Aussies are now more stick with asics products which are ruining their traditional gold colours in sports history.
