Bristol Bears have inked a new kit deal with Umbro that will see the latter take over from Bristol Sport as the club’s uniform partners. The duration of the deal was not announced, but the “long term” contract is expected to see the Bears as the only club wearing Umbro in the Gallagher Premiership in 2020/21.
Bristol Sport was making shirts for both Bristol City and the Bears, and once the former announced that it was moving to Hummel in February, many expected the Bears to switch as well, and that news has been officially announced today.
The Bristol Umbro deals is one of several new ones in the upcoming Premiership Rugby season- Leicester are switching to Samurai from Kukri while Worcester Warriors are moving to O’Neills from VX3.
Umbro appear to re-entering the rugby space, having also inked a deal to replace Canterbury as official England kit partners last week.
