These are the new Leicester Tigers kits 2020/21, Tigers rugby’s new home and alternate strips for the 20/21 AVIVA Premiership season. The new jerseys are the first to be made by Samurai Sports after they signed a deal to replace Kukri as Tigers’ technical kit partners, and also feature a new primary shirt sponsor in the form of Topps Tiles, who have come on board in a two year deal to replace Holland and Barrett.

Tigers had a woeful 2019/20 campaign, and were second from bottom when the league was curtailed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Continue reading

New Bristol Bears Umbro Shirt Deal- Long Term contract beginning 20-21 season

Bristol Bears have inked a new kit deal with Umbro that will see the latter take over from Bristol Sport as the club’s uniform partners. The duration of the deal was not announced, but the “long term” contract is expected to see the Bears as the only club wearing Umbro in the Gallagher Premiership in 2020/21.

Bristol Sport was making shirts for both Bristol City and the Bears, and once the former announced that it was moving to Hummel in February, many expected the Bears to switch as well, and that news has been officially announced today.

The Bristol Umbro deals is one of several new ones in the upcoming Premiership Rugby season- Leicester are switching to Samurai from Kukri while Worcester Warriors are moving to O’Neills from VX3.

Umbro appear to re-entering the rugby space, having also inked a deal to replace Canterbury as official England kit partners last week.

New Worcester Warriors O’Neills Shirt Deal- 3 year contract to replace VX-3 from 2020-2021 season

Gallagher Premiership outfit Worcester Warriors have officially inked a new shirt deal with Irish manufacturers O’Neills that will see the latter take over as the club’s official kit partners. The contract is for a period of three seasons- 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23, and sees O’Neills replace VX3, who served as Warriors’ uniform partners for the 18/19 and 19/20 seasons respectively.

At the time of writing, Worcester are 10th in the 2019/20 Premiership Rugby season, with the campaign currently indefinitely suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic. They’ve scored only 18 tries from 13 games- the lowest of any team in the league currently. Continue reading

Sale Sharks Samurai Sports Contract Extension- Kit Deal till the end of the 2022/23 season

Premiership Rugby side Sale Sharks have today (March 17, 2020) officially announced a three year contract extension with kit partners Samurai Sports that will see the latter provide shirts and uniforms to the club till the end of the 2022/23 season.

Sale’s partnership with Samurai first began in 2013 (they moved from Canterbury)

At the time of writing, Sale are second in the Premiership Rugby table for 2019/20 behind Exeter.

The extension of the Sale Sharks kit deal is excellent news for Samurai, who also added Leicester Tigers to their list of clubs last month.

New Leicester Tigers Samurai Sports Kit Deal- Tiger Rugby to leave Kukri

English Premiership club Leicester Tigers have inked a new deal with Samurai Sports that will see the latter replace Kukri Sports as the club’s official kit partners. Kukri originally came on board as Tigers’ uniform partners at the beginning of the 2017/18 season on a two year deal, which was later extended by a year till the end of the 19/20 season.

Samurai have now signed a three year contract to replace Kukri beginning July 1, 2020. The deal will be for the 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons.

Samurai already outfit both Exeter Chiefs and Sale Sharks- teams that are currently 1 and 2 in the Premiership Rugby table at the time of writing.
