The Chiefs have won Super Rugby two years in a row ( 2012 against the Sharks, and 2013 against the Brumbies), and have strengthened their squad with the acquisitions of Mils Muliana and Robbie Fruean

These are the new Hurricanes rugby jerseys 2014, the new home and alternate uniforms for NZ Super Rugby franchise the Hurricanes.

The new Canes’ 2014 SR shirts have attempted to capture the “Power of the Hurricane” and the design reminds one of the original SR strip for the province.

These are the new Highlanders’ kits 2014, the Otago Highlanders’ new home and away strips for the 2014 SR season. The Highlanders were the worst performing NZ franchise of 2013 despite having signed some big names in the lead up to it, and will be in a rebuilding phase after seeing players like Colin Slade and Ma’a Nonu leave Dunedin.

The Highlanders’ new 2014 SR strips draw inspiration from their Celtic roots, and have “Pride of the South” inscribed on them. Continue reading →

These are the new Crusaders kits 2014, Canterbury’s new home and away shirts for the forthcoming 2014 season. The Crusaders reached the semifinals of the 2013 edition before losing to eventual champions the Chiefs. While they missed out on the signing of Julian Savea, they’ve added Fijian flyer Nemani Nadolo to their ranks, and have also got back Colin Slade from the Highlanders

The Saders’ new strips see chain mail armour incorporated as a tribute to their medieval heritage.

This is the new Blues’ 2014 Super Rugby jersey, the Auckland Blues’ new home top for the forthcoming SR season. The Blues had a mini revival of sorts in 2013 under new coach John Kirwan but were unlucky not to make the playoffs. For 2014, the Blues have signed the likes of Tony Woodcock, Jerome Kaino, Ma’a Nonu and cross code convert Benji Marshall, the last of which is here seen modelling the new Blues 2014 home jersey.

The change/alternate/away kit is white in colour and like the home one, contains the names of the domestic provinces that form the Blues franchise ( the Northland, North Harbour, Auckland that you can see inside the neck)

The new Blues 2014 home and away kits were released on October 30, 2013 by the club, who also announced that Luke Braid would be captaining the side next season. The jerseys are sponsored by BNZ, as can be seen in the pics below. Continue reading →
