This is the Springboks Rugby World Cup Jersey 2011, which will be worn by defending champions and rugby powerhouse South Africa at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. The Boks 2011 World Cup jersey has been made by Canterbury.
South Africa, as mentioned before, won the previous World Cup. The Springboks will therefore have a printed gold William Web Ellis Cup on the sleeve to mark their World Cup triumph. The green and yellow South Africa world cup jersey features the South African Rugby association’s logo on one side and the 2011 World Cup’s logo on the other ( see photo of the South African World Cup top below). The Boks have stars like John Smit, Morne Steyn and Fourie du Preez in their ranks.
On the other sleeve we have the springbok, which has moved away from the front of the shirt owing to IRB regulations on World Cup jerseys.

The Springbok will be placed back onto the right breast after the World Cup and South Africa isn’t the only team to change the badging of a jersey.
I wanna PUKE on the Protea…!!!
Not good enough! The Springbok emblem should be in it’s rightful place, on the left hand side of the chest where it belongs!!! I refuse to buy any more Springbok Rugby Supporting Gear until it is changed! All loyal Springbok Rugby Supporters should really follow suit, if they are proper supporters that is!
