This is the new Broncos away jersey 2016, the new alternate strip for 2015 NRL grand finalists Brisbane Broncos. Officially made by Nike and unveiled on 21 October, 2015, the shirt features white and maroon panels with chevrons down the front.
The Broncos also unveiled a new sponsor, with National Storage replacing Pirtek on the back of the new home and away jerseys for 2016. The self storage firm have inked a four year deal which will run till the end of the 2019 season. National Storage were previously associated with AFL club Brisbane Lions.
While the away jersey is a completely new design, the Broncos’ 2016 home kit will be the same as the 2015 one, but for the small change in sponsors.
Here is what National Storage MD Andrew Catsoulis had to say regarding the deal.
We’ve chosen the Broncos as a great platform to help us grow our brand awareness right across Queensland and Australia, where we have an existing network of more than 90 centres.
Rugby League is a natural fit to build our brand recognition right now – especially after the Broncos’ tremendous season and reaching this year’s NRL Grand Final thriller.
As a proud Queensland company, we already have self-storage centres in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay and even in Townsville’s Cowboys country, so we hope Broncos and NRL members and fans get in touch if they need us for any residential or business storage use.
The Broncos are such an iconic club and share the same ideals of quality, success, service and a commitment to excellence as National Storage.
The Broncos lost the 2015 NRL grand final 17-16 to the North Queensland Cowboys.
