Wales have agreed to a contract extension with Under Armour which will see the American firm supply apparel to the national team for another nine years. Under Armour first came on board as Welsh jersey manufacturers back in 2008, when they replaced Reebok, beating off competition from the likes of KooGa and Canterbury.
While their original deal was till 2011, Wales’ impressive RWC performance in New Zealand was enough for them to pen an extension.
The new deal is worth £33m over 9 years, approximately- £3.7m per year, a significant increase over the previous reported value of around £2.5m per year.
