These are the new St.Helens shirts 2016, Super League club St Helens RLFC’s new home and away uniforms for the upcoming season. Made by Irish manufacturer O’Neills, the new Saints jerseys were officially revealed on 4 November, 2015.
The new St Helens 2016 home shirt features a large Red Vee and takes inspiration from the Mal Meninga era. The new change strip is a mix of cyan and orange, and both tops use O’Neills’ Koolite fabric.
Saints finished second in the regular 2015 season, but slipped to fourth after the Super 8’s, and lost their semifinal to eventual winners Leeds Rhinos.
The shirt will be produced in two versions- a replica version for fans and a players’ version.
Home looks great, especially the way the v carries onto the arms, but the change strip looks a bit weak and an after thought.
Would have looked better if they had carried the design over from home kit and made it an orange v
agreed, or a blue strip with red vee would be nice too
Yes, in fact any non-white colour with a red v would look great.
Wigan fan but think this Saints shirt is pretty smart. Yeah it’s different but there’s only so much you can do with a white shirt and a red vee, make it thinner, thicker, longer, shorter etc – Think this is a welcome change. Not too keen on their away shirt though, don’t even know what colour that is?!
