Manu Samoa to wear BLK kits at RWC 2015

The Samoan national rugby union team have officially announced that they will wear BLK jerseys at the upcoming 2015 Rugby World Cup in England. Samoa wore Canterbury shirts in the recent 2014 autumn internationals after a payment dispute with BLK over sums dating back to 2012.

Rugby in Samoa has also been under a cloud in recent times, with players threatening to go a strike over a perceived lack of transparency and governance, and the Samoan RU president terming them “spoilt” children in return. Continue reading →

England RL Academy BLK Kit 2014- New Kit partners for England RL?

The England Rugby League academy side played against the Australian Schoolboys yesterday (6 December, 2014). They narrowly lost 18-22, but more interestingly, the England RL academy kits were made by BLK.

The senior England RL squad wore ISC apparel in the recently concluded 2014 4 Nations, but it has been long rumoured that the national team will have a different kit supplier next year and it might well be BLK judging by this picture. England RL’s original agreement with ISC was from March 2011 to December 2014, and they wore ISC kit at the 2013 RL World Cup last year too.

New NZ 7’s Rugby Shirt 2015- Adidas New Zealand Sevens Home Jersey 14/15

This is the new NZ sevens kit 2014/2015, the New Zealand national sevens team’s new home strip for the 2014/15 HSBC Sevens Series. New Zealand have consistently dominated the 7’s circuit for the last few years and the likes of DJ Forbes, Tim Mikkelson and co. will be serious medal contenders at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

The sevens side, coached by Gordon Tietjens are the reigning IRB 7’s champions, and narrowly missed out on gold at the Commonwealth games earlier this year, losing to South Africa in an intriguing final.

The new New Zealand sevens top has been made by Adidas, with the firm also releasing new home and away kits for the All Blacks. The strip made its debut in the 7’s tournament in Dubai on 5th December, 2014, with the side first wearing it in their pool opener against Japan. Continue reading →

Adidas New All Blacks Away Kit 2015- White New Zealand Alternate Rugby Shirt 2014-15

Along with the release of the new All Blacks 2014/2015 home kit, Adidas have also unveiled a new NZ away rugby shirt for 14/15.

The alternate All Blacks kit 14/15 was officially unveiled on 13th November, 2014 and is here seen modelled by the likes of Jerome Kaino, Sam Cane and Aaron Smith in the pics below.

New Zealand rarely wear their alternate kit and last did so against France in the autumn internationals in 2013. Continue reading →
