The Waikato Chiefs have unveiled a new special edition heritage jersey. Inspired by their 1996 uniform, the Chiefs wore it for their clash against the Hurricanes at the FMG Stadium earlier today (15 March, 2019). 300 limited edition versions of the shirt will be available for the public to snap up, with the aim of providing funds to the club’s older players.

The game ended in a 23-23 draw, the first one in the 2019 Super Rugby season.
