The British and Irish Lions have today (November 5, 2015) officially announced that they will be wearing Canterbury on their 2017 tour to New Zealand. We had reported earlier this year that the Lions had decided to part ways with Adidas after 18 years, and Canterbury, who also supply kits to the English and Irish national rugby union teams, have won the race, beating the likes of Under Armour to the deal
Canterbury came to the rescue of the Lions in their 1959 tour, creating special kits for the whole squad after their original uniforms had been ruined and left behind.
To commemorate this deal, Canterbury have released 1959 jerseys of a limited edition replica inspired by the 1959 B&I Lions tour uniforms.

Better Canterbury than Under Armour I’d say.
Can’t say Canterbury’s designs for England and Ireland have been anything special, but I think they’ll do a good job for the Lions.
As for Adidas, the Lions won on their first Adidas tour (’97) and won on their last Adidas tour (’13). For many of us who are still young, Adidas are practically synonymous with the Lions.
