AVIVA Premiership side Sale Sharks have inked a new kit deal with Canterbury that will see the latter become the official supplier to the North West club beginning the 2012-13 season. The Canterbury Sale Sharks deal represents the third major acquisition for Canterbury in the recent past after bringing on board Leicester Tigers and the England national rugby union team. EDIT- The official release for the new Canterbury England kit will be 19 September, 2012 ( 19.09.12)

JD Sports owned Canterbury will replace Nike as the suppliers to the English national rugby team. The Rugby Football Union made the announcement today ( March 2012) stating that Canterbury will supply kits to the England rugby team in a deal that begins in September 2012 until and over the 2015 Rugby World Cup. The Canterbury England rugby shirt deal is reported to be worth £5m a year, making the whole kit sponsorship deal to be worth around £20m. Continue reading
