South Africa 7’s Away Shirt 2014- White Blitzbokke Alternate Kit 2014 Asics

We showed you South Africa’s new primary 7’s jersey, made by Asics, when it was unveiled last month, and now here is the team’s new alternate kit, worn at the 2014 Wellington Sevens.

The new Blitzbokke away jersey 2014 is primarily white, with a dash of green on it, as can be seen in the pics below. Hint of gold present too, but one probably feels Asics could have done a far better job with this jersey. Continue reading

New Ireland Rugby Canterbury Kit Deal- IRFU announce switch from Puma to Canterbury

Ireland have announced a new kit deal with Canterbury that will see the national side being outfitted by the New Zealand based clothing company till 2020. (including the 2015 and 2019 World Cups) The value of the deal was not disclosed, but is reported to be around the €20m mark over six years.

Ireland’s current kit partners are Puma, and their deal with the IRFU will expire in autumn 2014. The Irish will be seen in their their new Canterbury jerseys for the first time in the November 2014 internationals (against South Africa, Georgia and Australia). Because the Canterbury deal begins only on September 1st, Ireland will continue to wear Puma kits for the 2014 Six Nations and the June internationals.

This is the new Australian Sevens jersey 2014, the national sevens side’s new uniform for the 2014 World Series. The new Australia 7’s kit has been made by Asics and will be first worn at the USA 7’s next week. It was officially unveiled on January 17, 2014.

This is the first jersey to be produced by Asics for Australia, with the Wallabies 2014 jersey ( 15 man code) also set to be made by them as part of a new deal. Continue reading

New Springbok Sevens Blitzbokke Jersey 2014- Asics Bok 7’s Kit 2014

This is the new Blitzbokke jersey 2014, the principal 2014 season kit for the South African national sevens rugby team. The new Bok 7’s jersey has been made by Asics and was officially unveiled on January 6, 2014.

This new Springbok 7’s shirt is the first to be produced for South African rugby by Asics as part of a new deal inked with SARU last year to replace Canterbury as technical kit partners for both the 7 and 15 member teams.

New Wallabies ASICS Kit Sponsorship deal- Asics to replace KooGa from 2014

Weeks after signing a deal to outfit the Springboks from 2014, ASICS have brought on board another major Southern Hemisphere rugby nation by signing a contract with the Australian national rugby team. The news of the partnership was announced by ARU chairman Bill Pulver on October 1, 2013.

The Wallabies’ new contract with ASICS begins in 2014, with the national Sevens team due to wear the first official ASICS designed apparel in January. Official Wallabies ASICS jerseys are expected to hit retail stores in May 2014 ( ahead of the incoming June tests) Continue reading
